Welcome, new JUNTOS Collaborators!

IMG_2170We are thrilled to invite new faces to join JUNTOS Collective. Amy McMurchie (JUNTOSAbroad ’13) joins us as JUNTOSAbroad Program Director, Alicia Delgadillo (JUNTOSAbroad ’12) is invited on as JUNTOSLocal Program Director, and Ariane Michaud(JUNTOSAbroad ’16) introduces a new position for JUNTOS as Communications Director. We are excited to have so many new faces creating and developing JUNTOS. Read more on our new additions below.

 

AMY McMURCHIE, JUNTOSAbroad Program Director
Amy grew up dancing in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 2013, she graduated summa cum laude from Dominican University of California in conjunction with Alonzo King LINES Ballet with a BFA in dance and a minor in Psychology. Amy began working with JUNTOS in 2011, introducing and facilitating JUNTOS programming for the Domincian/LINES BFA students. She is currently performing and teaching in the San Francisco Bay Area with organizations including Kaneisee Collective, Soulskin Dance, Bay Area Dance Collective, and Nagata Dance and Dance Mission Theater, where she has also assisted in administrative work. Amy was invited on as JUNTOSAbroad Program Director in 2016 and is excited by the opportunity to work for JUNTOS, an organization she believes can transform lives through dance, just as it has for her.

ALICIA DELGADILLO, JUNTOSAmbassador Program Director
Alicia was born in San Francisco, CA where she began her dance training in ballet, tap, and jazz. After moving to Charlotte, NC, she continued her studies at the Charlotte School of Ballet and Piedmont School of Music and Dance. She began performing and working with JUNTOS while earning her BFA at The Ailey School/Fordham University, where she graduated with honors in 2012. She has traveled to Mexico and Guatemala with JUNTOS. Currently, Alicia lives in Chicago and is dancing for Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. Her participation with the organization in college left a lasting impact and she is thrilled to be re-joining the team as the JUNTOSLocal Program Director.

ARIANE MICHAUD, Communications Director
Ariane is a freelance dancer, choreographer, and management consultant for the arts based in New York, NY. She holds a BFA in Contemporary Dance from The Boston Conservatory and has been featured in works by Gerald Arpino, Richard Colton, Dwight Rhoden, Uri Sands and Danny Buraczeski. Her love of teaching has led to internships for both young and old in the community, choreograph in the public schools and, notably, dedicate her time to Movement Matters, a movement based project for those afflicted with Parkinson’s. Ariane is dedicated to supporting the work of artists and arts advocacy organizations. She is currently an Associate Consultant for MORE CANVAS Consulting, the Social Media Strategist for Doppelganger Dance Collective, and a dance teacher with Liberate Artists Agency. Ariane began traveling with JUNTOSAbroad as a student in 2013 and was invited to join JUNTOS as Communications Director in 2016.
