Emerging professional dancers, ages 17-24, pursuing higher education or training in dance, connect to other dance volunteers, work with communities abroad, and share your love of dance! After two weeks of teacher training, you will be matched up with one other Dance Volunteer, and spend five weeks teaching dance classes for a Community Alliance abroad. You will teach them weekly, and prepare a final dance work on them to be recorded, edited, and presented in our final showcase. During your teacher training, Dance Volunteers will learn choreography to perform live in the final showcase.

JUNTOSVirtual Community Workshop Series
How do I participate?
Students/Estudiantes
The JUNTOSVirtual Community Workshop Series begins with two 2-hour sessions of teacher training. During these sessions we will provide class teaching material to prepare Dance Volunteers for teaching classes to our Community Alliances. We will also teach them movement that they will perform live at our final online showing that will conclude the program. They will spend five weeks working with a Community Alliance abroad that we have matched them with. We will assign two Dance Volunteers to each Community Alliance, to foster collaboration.
