Program Information

JUNTOSxChange is a free, application-based 2-day program that offers dance workshops, classes on personal branding, contracting, budgeting, and grant writing, and a mentorship program with Latinx professionals in the NYC dance community who have successfully identified and realized their personal and professional goals, which may be shared by or inspiring to program participants.

JUNTOSxChange propels Latinx dance artists into their next career phase through mentorship and movement exchange, providing tangible, personalized tools and resources for professional growth. This community-based professional development program aims to serve the Latinx artist community and highlight and give a platform to Latinx dance artists already in the field.

Program Goals:

  • Opportunity: Open many doors for Latinx dance artists who are willing and ready.
  • Community: Create a bonded network of Latinx dance artists in NYC.
  • Mentorship: Link emerging artists to inspiring and aspirational Latinx professionals in the NYC dance community who share and contribute to the implementation of JUNTOS’ core values.
  • Action: Personalize deliverables and plans for growth to each specific artist, catering to their professional goals.

Eligible applicants must:

  • Be based in NYC
  • Identify as Latinx
  • Be at least 22 years old
  • Be in the early stages of a career in the dance field
