Program Information

JUNTOSxChange is a 3-day professional development program from November 7-9th, 2026, offering seminars on personal branding, contracting, budgeting, and grant writing; somatic dance workshops; and mentorship from Latinx professionals in the NYC dance community.

JUNTOSxChange propels Latinx dance artists into their next career phase through mentorship and movement exchange, providing tangible, personalized tools and resources for professional growth. This community-based professional development program aims to serve the Latinx artist community by uplifting Latinx dance artists at many different points in their career, including those transitioning between roles and/or sectors.

“I would not be where I am today without mentorship and access to arts education. JUNTOSxChange is an opportunity for me to be that resource for the next generations of Latinx artists. I am excited to connect with these artists, listen to their interests and needs, and aid in their development by sharing anything I can!”

Gaby Diaz (JUNTOSxChange 2026 Mentor)Chita Award Winning Dancer & Choreographer

“Throughout my career, I have seen movement become a language that allows people to discover parts of themselves they may not yet have words for. My creative and pedagogical work is rooted in creating spaces where artists can take risks, listen to one another, investigate their individuality, and understand the responsibility we have to the communities around us.

I am excited to be part of JUNTOSxChange because I believe deeply that dance education is not only about developing better dancers … it is about developing more courageous, curious, generous human beings.”

Luis Salgado (JUNTOSxChange 2026 Mentor)Founder & Artistic Director of R.Evolución Latina

“Participating in the JUNTOSxChange provided me with tools, mentorship, and confidence to take the next step in my career. I am deeply grateful to JUNTOS for offering the mentorship I needed at that moment, and for welcoming me into a community of inspiring artists who, like me, are committed to creating meaningful change in the dance world.”

Luz Iturbe (JUNTOSxChange 2024 Participant)Programs Coordinator at the Misty Copeland Foundation

“I wanted to see more brown bodies on stage. I wanted to not only see them but I wanted to hear their stories and have the concepts and stories be part of the narrative or the idea behind the movement.”

David Herrera (JUNTOSxChange 2024 Mentor)Founder & Artistic Director of David Herrera Performance Company & LatinXtension
