David Herrera (he/him) is a choreographer, producer, and community leader in San Francisco, California, whose choreographies and community impact programs through David Herrera Performance Company center Latinx/e communities, voices, aesthetics, and narratives.

David grew up in Hollywood, CA, influenced by his culturally diverse neighborhood and his Mexican and American heritages. He launched DHPCo. as a direct challenge to the lack of Latinx visibility and representation in the U.S. dance field. David also directs multiple community impact programs that benefit the larger, national Latinx dance community, including the national Latin Hispanic Dancers United initiative and LatinXtensions mentorship program.

His work has been supported by various foundations, organizations, private donors, and residencies. His history, experience, and accumulated knowledge have been sought by organizations and companies across the country.
