After a full day of airport trips, I must say I am quite eager to embark on my 13th JUNTOS trip. Although traveling this many times might appear repetitive, each is indeed its own journey. I’m anxious to watch and guide these nine students through workshops and performance – Winnie Berger, Taylor Collier, Micheala Ellingson, Alexandria Johnson, Catherine Keller, Ariane Michaud, Emily Rodriguez, Alexis Staley, Jaclyn Wheatley. (I can’t believe that out of these students, seven have attended at least one JUNTOS trip!!). I’m eager to be a part of bonds made, though some only in a day, that may last a lifetime. I’m proud to be a part of these experiences – of development and exploration as artist and human. Thank you all, participant, donor, friend, and peer who give me these gifts. I am grateful to constantly be seeing a world through new eyes and exuberant dance that truly does unite. Thank you all for making this possible.
