This December JUNTOS participated in #Giving Tuesday by kicking off a week of giving with sharing photos, videos, virtual performances, and more! JUNTOS believes in the power of dance to improve mental and physical health, creativity and leadership skills, and community building through arts education and dance performance in our Community Alliances in Latin America as well as our high school and college aged Dance Volunteers.
We have raised over $7,500 with your help and we could not be more thankful for each dollar donated, dance move made, email sent, photo shared, all on our behalf! Over the past two months we want to thank all who attended Taste of JUNTOS and the JUNTOS Virtual Final Fall performance.
Taste of JUNTOS
Thank you for all who joined for our special three-day event, planned to show gratitude to our JUNTOS donors and supporters! We danced the night away with Nestor Rodriguez, learned about Latin American spirits with Ivy Mix, and learned about Mayan movement and spirituality with Jean Molesky-Poz.
Final Fall Performance
One aspect of the JUNTOS experience that we are craving is the magic of live dance and performance. In our JUNTOSVirtual Final Fall Performance, we were able to provide a taste of this experience in both recorded and live formats. This performance featured our Dance Pals video, a highlight reel of the Community Workshop Series, and a live performance by the teachers that worked with us this fall. If you missed it, here’s a recording of our wonderful dancers. We are so grateful for our talented Dance Volunteers and teachers who dedicated so much time and energy to JUNTOSVirtual programming.
Through your generosity we will provide 200+ hours of dance education, performance, and community building activities through our newest JUNTOSVirtual Programs. We hope to connect with you soon and look forward to continuing to make an impact through dancing together – JUNTOS!
In the spirit of love and gratitude, we share this message from our Interim Executive Director, Amy McMurchie…
