JOANNA POZ-MOLESKY, creative & executive director

joannaJoanna, born in Berkeley, California, began dancing at Berkeley Ballet Theater in 1991. She co-founded En Pointe Youth Dance Company in 1999, initiated and organized its Mexico summer immersion trip in 2005, and directed the company through 2006. In 2008, she founded JUNTOS, and in 2009, directed and organized  the first JUNTOS trip to Mexico, collaborating with New York and Mexican artists for performance and intercultural exchange. Joanna graduated from The Ailey School/Fordham University’s BFA dance program, minoring in both Latin American/Latino Studies and Theology. In January 2014, Joanna was the youngest person recognized for all her work as Distinguished Visitor of Xelajú, Quetzaltenango, Guatemala’s second largest city – an honor similar to receiving the key to the city. She has been awarded with several special recognitions for her community outreach and leadership (Prospect-Sierra Alumni Action Award, 2014; Hitachi National Award, 2006-07; Guardian Girl’s Going Places Award, 2006; Berkeley Community Fund for Leadership and Community Service, 2006; City of Berkeley Mayor’s Award, 2006).

AMY McMURCHIE, JUNTOSAbroad Program Director

amy_headshotAmy grew up dancing in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 2013, she graduated summa cum laude from Dominican University of California in conjunction with Alonzo King LINES Ballet with a BFA in dance and a minor in Psychology. Amy began working with JUNTOS in 2011, introducing and facilitating JUNTOS programming for the Domincian/LINES BFA students. She is currently performing and teaching in the San Francisco Bay Area with organizations including Kaneisee Collective, Soulskin Dance, Bay Area Dance Collective, and Nagata Dance and Dance Mission Theater, where she has also assisted in administrative work. Amy was invited on as JUNTOSAbroad Program Director in 2016 and is excited by the opportunity to work for JUNTOS, an organization she believes can transform lives through dance, just as it has for her.

ALICIA DELGADILLO, JUNTOSLocal Program Director

aliAlicia was born in San Francisco, CA where she began her dance training in ballet, tap, and jazz. After moving to Charlotte, NC, she continued her studies at the Charlotte School of Ballet and Piedmont School of Music and Dance. She began performing and working with JUNTOS while earning her BFA at The Ailey School/Fordham University, where she graduated with honors in 2012. She has traveled to Mexico and Guatemala with JUNTOS. Currently, Alicia lives in Chicago and is dancing for Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. Her participation with the organization in college left a lasting impact and she is thrilled to be re-joining the team as the JUNTOSLocal Program Director.

CATHERINE KELLER, JUNTOSAmbassador Program Director

catherineCatherine is a Massachusetts native, but has enjoyed living in Manhattan for the past four years. She first began performing with JUNTOS in 2011 as a sophomore at The Ailey School/Fordham University. After participating in three JUNTOSAbroad trips Catherine was able to further support the organization by acting as the New York Intern during her senior year. Catherine graduated from Fordham with a B.F.A. in dance and Spanish studies, a double major inspired by her first trip to Guatemala. She continues to dance in the New York City area and works full-time at Prep for Prep, an educationally focused nonprofit. After seeing how much JUNTOS has touched the lives of so many people, Catherine is incredibly excited to embark on this new chapter with the Collective as the JUNTOSAmbassador Program Director!

ARIANE MICHAUD, Communications Director

joannaAriane is a freelance dancer, choreographer, and management consultant for the arts based in New York, NY. She holds a BFA in Contemporary Dance from The Boston Conservatory and has been featured in works by Gerald Arpino, Richard Colton, Dwight Rhoden, Uri Sands and Danny Buraczeski. Her love of teaching has led to internships for both young and old in the community, choreograph in the public schools and, notably, dedicate her time to Movement Matters, a movement based project for those afflicted with Parkinson’s. Ariane is dedicated to supporting the work of artists and arts advocacy organizations. She is currently an Associate Consultant for MORE CANVAS Consulting, the Social Media Strategist for Doppelganger Dance Collective, and a dance teacher with Liberate Artists Agency. Ariane began traveling with JUNTOSAbroad as a student in 2013 and was invited to join JUNTOS as Communications Director in 2016.

SEAN OCONNELL, web

seanSean O’Connell is a California native and has worked in online marketing for the past five years. An online marketer and data analyst, Sean seeks to understand what motivates niche demographic segments and find new ways to drive outcomes through inbound marketing and direct response campaigns. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a Master Certification in Web Analytics from Market Motive. Prior to that, he was a Digital Content Curator and Social Strategy Coordinator at Guerilla PR. Sean began working with JUNTOS in 2013 and is excited to be a part of the collective’s online presentation.
