JUNTOSAbroad: México Trailer
Dance Volunteers travel to Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, or Nicaragua to teach modern dance workshops, take world dance classes conducted by our international community alliances, and participate in public performances that include student choreography.
Dance Volunteers are encouraged to dig deeper into their relationship with dance as they conduct dance workshops and performances in orphanages, migrant safe homes, centers for HIV+ children, hospitals, grade schools, retirement homes, and more.
High-level college-aged dance students and emerging dance professionals are invited to participate in this program. A video link or reel is required to be considered for this opportunity.

JUNTOSAbroad: Guatemala focuses on how art and movement can create social change by building strong international communities. Dance volunteers travel for two weeks engaging in community outreach with women and children’s organizations and collaborating with emerging dance artists, centers, and companies in Mayan villages and urban centers. Application process: Fill out the application posted. The JUNTOS Program Director will contact you for an interview. Once all applications and interviews have been conducted, you will be contacted regarding acceptance and trip placement.
Fees: With a non-refundable deposit of $295 plus a tuition fee of $1600, you cover accommodation, transportation, COVID-19 tests, PPE, some meals, excursions, and activities. You are also responsible for the flight to the designated country and food during travel (~$15-25/day).
