BREAKING NEWS FROM INDIA
15 JunBREAKING NEWS: only two days left to donate! Any donations welcome.
As the word of Juntos on KickStarter begins to circle the globe, a group of inspired Indian youth and family members came together to pool their daily cigarette money, chai money, and food money to donate to Juntos. After watching the video clip they were moved to share what they had to make Joanna’s project come to life! They might never meet Joanna or the Juntos dancers, let alone see a performance (until Juntos makes it to India), but their belief in this project goes beyond that matter. Please support Juntos and the wonderful work they do!
With much love from Kolkata, India
a note from the staff…
13 JunI write because the JUNTOS Kickstarter campaign ends in 5 days. If you are not familiar with Kickstarter, we need to reach our goal of at least $9500 in order to receive any of the pledged donations. If we do not reach our goal on Kickstarter, JUNTOS will not continue next year.
I just returned from my fifth JUNTOS trip, where I acted as Assistant to the Director, Joanna Poz-Molesky. Also among the group was one of our trip coordinators, Sussan Hrozek, native of Guatemala. Their passion and belief in this project is overwhelming, but rightfully so. We are creating community and hope in places that need it; the JUNTOS Collective is needed! Joanna’s vision has brought this amazing project to life and she has even more hopes for the future. I have learned so much from her and my experiences with JUNTOS. Continued work with this project is also part of my future plans.
Communities that we have encountered in the past are already sending concerned emails about our return. Please help us avoid severing the ties we have spent the past four years building and nurturing!
The biggest way to help and get involved with JUNTOS is by showing your support here: http://kck.st/JCf4vk

the future of JUNTOS rests in your hands…
10 JunDearest friends,
I write to you all from the very most sincere part of myself and I ask that you take the time to read the entirety of this note. I seek your help to continue with my future and the future of JUNTOS. I write to you because at one point or another, many of you’ve told me your admiration for my projects, company, or passion. Well friends, I ask you to help me and make your verbal support actualized. In order to see a future for JUNTOS, I need to gain at least the requested amount on our Kickstarter (our online fundraiser).
JUNTOS is not a passion, it’s not something I want to do. It’s something I need to do – JUNTOS is me. It’s where I can best offer something to the world; bringing people together is my passion and dance is my language. After directing this project for 4 years, I’ve had the honor of working with over 80 university dance students, more than 35 communities internationally, and thousands of individuals in audiences. We need your support to continue creating and building upon these relationships. Dance offers something unique, especially in this time where technology grants us communication yet severs our ability to interact as humans. Through dance we are united, sharing cultures and creating communities that will last lifetimes.
I love what I do so much, but at this point in time I cannot continue my work with JUNTOS if I do not gain at least the minimum requested amount on Kickstarter. I’ve given all I have, both energy and thousands of my own dollars to support the smiles, memories, and friendships built by JUNTOS, but I physically cannot do it anymore. It’s taken too much of a toll on my own needs and for this I ask for your support. If you do indeed mean what you say when you describe your admiration, please, please make a pledge. It’s so easy and if we don’t make our requested goal, you don’t need to pay anything. Even giving up a cup of coffee for a day can help – please, pledge what you can if you hope to see a future of this organization.
From the bottom of my heart,
Thank you.
Joanna
